Sacramental Programme

The Sacramental Programme is for baptised children who will be turning eight before September and wish to be confirmed and receive communion.

If your child does not attend one of our parish schools, but would like to take part, we welcome you to join with our schools (Please seek permission for your child to leave your school of attendance during the scheduled programme days and times).

For more information or to register your child to take part in this programme, please either contact the school's Director of Religious Studies or the parish office, or complete the online Sacramental Programme form via the button below.
Sacramental programme form
The Sacramental Programme guides children and their families through the Sacraments of Initiation: First Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Eucharist. The programme is based on the understanding that parents/caregivers are a child’s ‘first educators in faith’. (See John Cardinal Dew's letter announcing the new programme)

Each Sacrament includes four facilitated, interactive gatherings of parents and children – simultaneous but separate – as well as joint activities for parents and children at home between sessions.

For each of the three Sacraments, children’s worksheets and short parent handouts, emphasising key themes, are provided. The programme includes an interactive PowerPoint presentation that offers parents an opportunity for adult-faith formation and discussion (See links below).
